The Summer EXPO 2024 for HCI/HCS, CS and GE was a great success! A large number of visitors were able to experience up to 120 different demos and projects.

The Expo showcased a diverse array of projects and research that encapsulated the remarkable talent and dedication of the students. The event provided an engaging platform for students to present their posters and interactive demos to faculty, peers, industry professionals, and honored guests. In total, there were approximatley 120 exhibits.
We were delighted to welcome Staatsminister Dr. Fabian Mehring.
Bavaria’s Digital Minister Dr. Fabian Mehring inaugurated the EXPO with a speech praising students for advancing technology and highlighting the university’s role in innovation. He explored projects like virtual environments for autonomous vehicles, a smart watch for cognitive impairments, and a VR environment addressing cyberbullying. Dr. Mehring expressed appreciation for the Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) and emphasized Bavaria’s goal to lead in digital technologies, stating that digitalization improves lives and offers economic opportunities.
Insgesamt mehr als 100 Präsentationen zu verschiedenen Themenbereichen wie Informatik, psychologische Ergonomie, Games Engineering, Psychologie intelligenter interaktiver Systeme und Mensch-Computer-Interaktion.
Die EXPO ist der perfekte Ort um sich einen umfassenden Eindruck von den Studiengängen Games Engineering und Human-Computer Interaction zu machen. Neben den spannenden Projekten bietet das Event auch die Möglichkeit, mit vielen freundlichen Studierenden und Dozierenden in das Gespräch zu kommen, um sich über die Studienfächer zu informieren.
Die Summer EXPO 2024 findet auch in diesem Jahr im Rahmen des Study-Days zusammen mit der Graduiertenfeier der Fakultät für Mathematik und Informatik statt. Diese beginnt um 17.00 Uhr im Hörsaal 0.004 des Zentralen Hörsaal- und Seminargebäudes (Z6).
